Jessica Miltenberger found Lindy Hop in 2009 and the joy she found in swing dancing gave her life a whole new focus. As a New York-based dancer and choreographer, Jessica has been privileged to perform at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing, the acclaimed Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governor’s Island, and Carnegie Hall, as well as performing for fellow dancers locally and on the road. When she isn’t performing or teaching, you can find her on the social floor dancing Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston and Solo Jazz, seeking out local bands wherever she happens to be.
As a teacher, Jessica seeks to instill playfulness, self-confidence and quality of movement alongside an understanding of and sincere appreciation for the music and history of the swing era dances. A constant student herself, Jessica’s commitment to learning is reflected in her teaching, just as her joy at being a part of these American dance traditions is reflected in her performance.
